Did you know that bullfighting is becoming popular in the USA?
There is even bullfighting in Las Vegas.
I can add Colombia to the list too.

2. Because of tradition.
Most countries have sports which torture animals or kill them for fun. Fishing, hunting, rodeos, bull running, the Grand National in England, Badmington horse trials, forcing dogs to dance at Crufts, keeping pets, etc etc All are animal cruelty in one way or another.
