Safe areas close to the city centre in Birmingham, UK?

Looking for a place to rent, not sure which area to pick.
If you want a safeish area near the city centre then avoid Newtown, Nechells, Small Health, Bordesley, Yardley, Bordesley Green, Small Health, Tiseley, Kitts Green, Stetchford and Digbeth becuase they are rough. Soho road area of Handsworth is also known to be rough.

I live near Aston in Witton Road area. It is actually not that bad. Aston is often confused with the area nearer to the city Centre because Aston University is near the city centre. However that area is actually Newtown. Aston is actually the area around Aston Hall and where Aston Villa is.

You could try cornerstone estate agents in Witton on 07988 727 254

(I told them what I wanted and my budget and they found me just what I wanted and they find properties for all people including students and people on benefits. They are based in the north of Birmingham though).

I am a student at Perry Barr Campus of BCU and find where I live cheap area and friendly. It is a predominantly Asian area. Some other parts of Birmingham are supposed to be nice but you still get gangs of chavs and hoodies walking around them. A lot of people think all the forgein areas are rough but they are living in the past and there are no longer all the racial conflicts in Birmingham. If you are nice to them they will like you.

You just have to look at the houses around where you are moving too. Look for nice gardens. If they have dirty curtains then they are probably druggies!

In Birmingham they say everywhere where you can see a towerblock is a rough area. If you want to live very near the city centre you are narrowing your options, however you could live in a flat or appartment in the city centre itself and that would probably be ok.
If I
